SOUND SIGNALS. RESTRICTED VISIBILITY.

1. A power-driven vessel making way through water	1 long blast	2 min
2. Underway but making no way through water	2 long blasts	2 min
3. a) Not under command b) Restricted in her ability to maneuver c) Constrained by her draught d) Engaged in towing or pushing another vessel	3 blasts 1 long 2 short	2 min
4. Towed	3 blasts 1 long 3 short	2 min
5. At anchor	Ring the bell	5 sec
6. Aground	3 separate stokes of bell

Vessels are in sight of one another

Meaning	Signal
"I am altering my course to starboard".	one short blast
"I am altering my course to port".	two short blast
"I am operating astern propulsion".	three short blast

NARROW CHANNELS

Meaning	Signal
"I intend to overtake you on your starboard side".	two long one short
"I intend to overtake you on your port side".	two long two short
Vessel in agreement	one long one short one long one short
Vessel in doubt	five short
Nearing a bend or obstruction	one long
